Girlbomb by Janice Erlbaum

() The cover provides the description, “A Halfway Homeless Memoir”.

Elbaum decides she’d rather become homeless since the string of her mom’s boyfriends continues to degrade the stability of the family. She sleeps in shelters before joining a group home, which wreaks of peer abuse. She gives into the seduction of drugs and sex, but still manages to maintain an respectable GPA.

It also chronicles the slow improvements in her family structure, and the maturing of her general relationships.

This is a good read, but nothing to write home about.
